Dr. WellbeingSM brings programs which powerfully create Well-being to all businesses and groups. The key program, the Wellbeing Laughter Club, is designed to be easily incorporated into the "daily life" of the business. You may hire Dr. WellbeingSM for a one time event or a continuing program.
Dr. WellbeingSM programs are simple, effective, and cost effective (see below). Dr. Peister, the creator of Dr. WellbeingSM, leads the programs at your facility or trains your staff to do so. Programs range from an uplifting 20 minute experiential workshop to a one day retreat.

Teacher Training in Leading Laughter Yoga: $250 per person. If you provide the venue, the cost is $175 per person.

Wellbeing Laughter Club
The Human system is quite changeable and adaptable at any age. Our actions actually determine what we create within our system. If we mope around and act sad, then the chemistry within our body and the chemistry and connections within our brain are “sad”. If we act happy and play then the chemistry and connections within us are “happy”.
The brain’s capacity to change shape and connections with use is known as neuroplasticity. Negative brain-use leads to negative neuroplasticity. Positive actions lead to positive neuroplasticity. Positive brain changes are enhanced by positive emotions and stress reduction.
Dr. Wellbeing’s programs practice and teach actions that seem to create positive neuroplasticity and positive body chemistry. Each program includes is a series of exercises which powerfully uplift mood and create healing. These exercises produce positive emotions and reduce stress as well. The mainstay of Dr. WellbeingSM programs is the Wellbeing Laughter Club.
The Wellbeing Laughter Club practices Laughter Yoga with cognitive re-framing. Laughter Yoga is a form of group recreation: a unique combination of unconditional laughter, simple movement, and play that is remarkably uplifting. Laughter Yoga is the only technique that allows adults to achieve sustained hearty laughter without involving cognitive thought.
Laughter Yoga does not rely upon jokes or humor which use cognition. Each session starts with fake laughter, (laughing for no reason or unconditional laughter) which everyone can do. Real Laughter however, always develops. Science has proven that the body cannot tell the difference between fake and real laughter. Both create the same “happy chemistry” in the body. This empowers participants to uplift themselves.
Laughter yoga uses the two-way body-mind link to create positive neuroplasticity. By making playful happy movements and gestures we can actually change the state of mind, uplift ourselves, and become happy. This effect is so powerful that we have seen people all over the world overcome depression through Laughter Yoga. (There are thousands of Laughter Clubs that practice Laughter Yoga in the World.)

Laughter Yoga provides excellent, low-impact, physical exercise as well.
Dr. Peister employs cognitive re-framing in the Wellbeing Laughter Club. Cognitive re-framing is a simple method of evaluating and shifting how we interpret events in our lives. This allows participants to laugh at their problems, pains, and fears. Even those with cognitive impairment benefit from cognitive reframing.
Dr. Peister’s goal is for everyone, especially clients in any type of care setting to regularly attend the Wellbeing Laughter Club.
The Wellbeing Laughter Club can be easily created by training one or more staff members to lead it. No props or materials are required. Dr. Peister recommends that you train one or more staff members to be Laughter Leaders in your facility. They can then regularly lead the Wellbeing Laughter Club for both clients and staff. The entire environment of any facility benefits from the Wellbeing Laughter Club, as it powerfully reduces stress, and creates a
remarkable sense of connection within the community. Morale and productivity also improve. Bringing the Wellbeing Laughter Club to facilities uplifts everyone. Laughter is the best medicine!
Dr. Peister gives the trainings at your facility. She is in the process of setting up trainings at facilities near you, which your staff can attend. When your facility hosts a training in which staff from other facilities are welcome, your cost is reduced and you receive $60 for each outside attendee.
